The Software Engineer II responsible for building custom applications and tools to achieve business outcomes. They leverage their understanding of technical solutions to optimize processes and improve the organization’s productivity and efficiency.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Engineering Team located in Bengaluru, India and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, code, and test custom applications and scripts using industry-standard development systems and practices
• Deliver functionality per technical specifications to achieve expected business outcomes
• Work as part of the Scrum Team to estimate effort and deliver code within the sprint timeframes and commitments
• Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and debugging prior to UAT release
• Adhere to development best practices for security, compliance, readiness, performance, scalability and user experience
• Conduct enhancements and bug fixes within agreed upon SLAs
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends

The essential requirements of the job include:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in software development
• Experience with programming languages: JavaScript, Java, VB.NET, Python
• Experience with MySQL or equivalent SQL database systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to design and maintain efficient customer support channels

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Secure Code Development
• Scrum Leadership, experience and ability to mentor teams on Agile principles
• Automated Code Development and CI/CD with proficiency in automated tools for build, test, and deployment (e.g. Azure Devops)
• Cloud-native application development
• Knowledge of containerization
• Experience in regulated environments, preferably SOX, FDA and GMP
• Highly collaborative, successful in a matrixed and globally distributed environment
