The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex, Life Sciences SaaS implementation projects within a professional services/consultancy framework. This role requires an accomplished leader who can expertly manage scope, timelines, and especially project financials, ensuring solution quality and exceptional customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be accredited in APM or PMP accredited and have deep experience delivering GxP/non-GxP-compliant SaaS solutions (e.g., LIMS, ELN) to Bio Pharma, CRO, or CDMO clients and demonstrated ability to lead implementation teams.
This position reports to the Director, Global Professional Services and is located in Woking, UK and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

Lead the full lifecycle for multiple concurrent SaaS implementation projects, designing and governing processes to deliver integrated digital solutions that meet customer requirements, enhance efficiency and data quality, and are completed on time and within budget

Act as the primary client liaison, building trusted relationships, providing strategic guidance to align project objectives, and facilitating workshops and steering committees to ensure progress, risk management, and successful outcomes.

Maintain strict scope and financial control by adhering to SOW, executing formal change management, and ensuring profitability through disciplined resource and cost management

Proactively manage risks and issues by forecasting revenue and resource needs, identifying delivery roadblocks early, and implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track

Provide leadership and guidance to internal and client-side teams, fostering collaboration across stakeholders, managing expectations through clear communication and status reporting, and effectively addressing scope changes, risks, and challenges to ensure project alignment and success.

Drive continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned, standardizing best practices, and refining delivery methodologies

Support commercial goals through accurate project performance feedback and identifying new service opportunities during delivery.
The essential requirements of the job include:

5 years of previous experience delivering complex, fixed-price projects on time and within budget, successfully executing change controls to protect scope and profitability.

PMP Certification or equivalent (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-ACP)
-
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage the technical and functional project teams required to design and implement tailored solutions.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Proven experience in consulting or solution delivery within the Bio Pharma, CRO, or CDMO industries.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with informatics platforms (e.g., LIMS, ELN), data analytics tools, and cloud-based technologies is highly desirable.

Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master)

PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner for structured project delivery
