The Value Stream Manager is responsible for maximizing the performance of assigned Value Streams by implementing and sustaining lean conversion principles to achieve business results. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing production workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through the application of lean principles and the Danaher Business System (DBS). This position reports to the Plant Manager and is part of the Operations team located onsite in New Port Richey, FL.

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.  Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maximize the performance of Value Streams by implementing and sustaining lean conversion principles to meet customer requirements.

• Collaborate with business unit leadership to develop a plan and execution strategy for improving the safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity (SQDIP) performance of the assigned Value Streams.  Report necessary counter-measures and problem solving data to management in the Daily Management walk-through and reviews.

• Plan and facilitate improvement events using lean tools such as Value Stream mapping, Kaizen, Tornado and general problem solving techniques to support and enable the business strategy.

• Collaborate with leadership to support the hiring process, daily supervisory activities and the evaluation of Value Stream Team Members in terms of performance, qualifications and team building skills. Support the growth and development of the Cell Leaders through individual and group coaching and mentoring initiatives.

• Collaborate with the Engineering team to assure product integrity is maintained.  Document and qualify changes to product, process and equipment including SOP and process sheet modifications, maintenance and enhancements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline with 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, or an AAS degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing supervisory experience including broad involvement in and demonstrated knowledge of operations, supply chain, planning, receiving, shipping and material flow.

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting and financial practices in an operations or manufacturing environment.

• Experience in reading and following blueprints, work instructions and procedures.

• Familiarity with Lean tools and demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective, measurable solutions.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Frequent standing, sitting, bending, twisting, lifting and/or walking for extended periods. Required lifting weight: 35 pounds; frequency: daily.

• Travel: 10%.

• Hands-on in the manufacturing process when necessary.

• Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals as required.
