We are currently seeking a Senior Global Technical Support Engineer who will be responsible for supporting field personnel needing assistance, owning escalated customer issues and driving improvements to product through engineering sustainment efforts. This position is part of the Japan/ Asia Pacific Technical Support team located in Japan.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Answer service support hotline calls, e-mails, and group chats in timely manner.

• Lead customer escalations with an expected closure rate within 21 calendar days

• Acquire expert level knowledge of existing systems from hardware perspective and develop applications knowledge to aid in problem diagnosis

• Drive resolution of field reported problems through analysis and root cause investigations to implement and sustain effective countermeasures.

• Conduct training classes for new products or newly hired Field Service Engineers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• A four-year university degree or higher, or graduation from a technical college. A graduate degree is a plus.

• Advanced knowledge in engineering and more than 5 years of experience.

• Experience in troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication with stakeholders (both verbal and written).

• English proficiency to communicate smoothly with global teams (approximately TOEIC score of 730 or higher).

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• This position requires a maximum of 30% travel. (Of which, business trips involving overnight stays are approximately 4 days per month.) The travel destinations are mainly domestic, but international travel may be required.

• A regular driver's license is mandatory.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in biotechnology or medical devices is preferred, especially if you have service experience or usage experience with centrifuges.

• Technical support, research and development, customer support, field applications, or field service engineering.

• トラブルシューティングにおける経験と分析スキル。
• 関係者との優れたコミュケーション（口頭および書面）
• グローバルチームとスムーズにコミュニケーションできる英語力（TOEICスコア730点程度以上。

出張、運転記録および身体/環境要件：

• このポジションは最大30%の出張を必要とします。（そのうち宿泊を伴う出張は１か月あたり４日程度）出張先は主に国内ですが、海外出張が求められることがあります。
• 普通自動車運転免許必須。

また、以下の経験があるとプラスです：

• バイオテクノロジーまたは医療機器の関連経験、特に遠心分離機のサービス経験、使用経験があれば尚良い。
• テクニカルサポート、研究開発、カスタマーサポート、フィールドアプリケーションまたはフィールドサービスエンジニアリング
