The Manager -Packaging leads our primary and secondary packaging team. This team works closely with customers to design and implement primary and secondary packaging solutions for custom products. This team also works closely with multiple teams in operations to ensure packaging solutions work seamlessly with manufacturing and supply chain capabilities. The Manager- Packaging works as part of the global product engineering team, and reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Engineering – Cell Culture and will be an onsite role.

What you will do:

• Serve as the enterprise technical leader for primary and secondary packaging containers, setting design strategy, governing technical decisions, and ensuring packaging architecture meets requirements.
• Lead through direct technical contribution while mentoring packaging and design engineers, elevating engineering rigor, problem‑solving capability, and design quality through reviews, standards, and day‑to‑day coaching.
• Apply and model DBS fundamentals—Daily Management, structured problem solving, Kaizen, and Policy Deployment.
• Architect and drive standardized, platform‑based packaging solutions and design rules to reduce complexity, enable supply chain resilience, accelerate development timelines, and support global scalability across product families.

Who you are:

• Experience working in a cGMP environment, and in bioprocessing.
• 8 or more years of experience working in manufacturing, sourcing, design or other bioprocessing roles.
• Experience using document management systems or related software platforms (e.g., PLM, ERP) a plus.
• Experience working with primary or secondary packaging, supporting both standard and custom products.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to safely work in a production environment around automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Comfortable working in a lab environment with chemical and biological materials.
• Capability to lift and handle up to 30 pounds as needed for materials or packaging samples.
• Must be able to wear PPE
