About the Role

The Product Manager is responsible for a specific portfolio of products within the company. Your role will cover end-to-end product lifecycle management, including overall product promotion, user communication, strategy development to strengthen market presence, and the formulation of market development plans. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and is part of the marketing team located in Tokyo and will be onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Formulation and deployment of strategic promotional plans for short- and medium-term business expansion
  • Marketing lead generation and promotion deployment
  • Planning, content design, and implementation of sales training
  • Upstream-oriented collaboration with development teams to reflect Japanese market needs in product development
  • Preparation for introduction of new products and services to the Japanese market
  • Product lifecycle management, including product quality management in collaboration with the QA team
  • Planning of clinical research in related areas and implementation through collaboration with academic teams
  • Building and maintaining a network of key experts in related areas
  • Competitive analysis and market analysis for business strategy development
  • Hands-on work with the sales team as a specialist in assigned products and related areas

Qualifications

Required Experience

Experience in the healthcare industry (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, IVDs, etc.) in at least one of the following areas:

  • Product management or promotional planning work experience in the marketing department
  • Sales, business development, or application support and academic support experience for users, with desire to pursue a career as a Product Manager

Required Conditions

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's degree preferred)
  • Ability to communicate in English with international colleagues:
  • Read and write business emails within 6 months
    • Conduct and participate in online meetings within 12 months
  • Ability to work proactively across functions
  • Understanding of medical device fair trading codes and related regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales or promotion experience with medical testing equipment (particularly POCT devices)
  • Sales or promotion experience with medical information systems (electronic medical records, laboratory information systems, etc.) or related work experience

Compensation

Monthly Salary (Base): ¥350,000 - ¥490,000

Expected Annual Income: ¥5,600,000 - ¥7,840,000 (includes fixed annual bonus of 4 months)

Performance Bonus: ¥560,000 - ¥780,000 (based on company and individual performance)
