The Operational Excellence Manager - Global Service is responsible for creating, improving and embedding processes across the global service organization that drive results and empower team members.
Working across all levels of the business, you will play a key role in understanding and documenting critical business processes, with a specific focus on service performance-related processes. This will require collaborating with team members at the point of impact and across the organization to identify and implement opportunities to improve, while also operating as a change agent to ensure processes and standard work are being sustained and effective.
This position reports to the Director Service Transformation & Digitalization and is part of the Global Services Team working remotely to cover *. *
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Process Current State Insights and understanding
-
Conduct workshops, fact finding at gemba, and engage with business stakeholders to fully understand current processes and issues

Support the Director of Service Transformation & Digitalization with data collection, analysis and the presentation of current state process effectiveness and gaps

Produce data driven analysis of process performance and impact to support prioritization of process improvement projects

Process Optimisation

Benchmark process best practice from across Leica and Danaher

Work with process owners and business stakeholders to identify how to improve process effectiveness and reduce unnecessary complexity.

Support regional teams to design improved future state processes using best practice from across Leica and Danaher

Ensure processes are well documented and understood in end-to-end process maps and work instructions

Process Training
-
Creation of training material in close collaboration with the service competency team

Creating and delivering process training plans to ensure all teams develop excellent knowledge of the process, tools, and supporting information

Process Implementation
-
Support business implementation and readiness plans, through project planning, management and creation of work instructions and SOPs

Ensures, based on Standard Work and Daily Management, that implemented processes are consistently followed, and develops corrective actions as needed to bring processes back on track.

Support the creation and delivery of change management activities such as change impact assessments, change action plans, training needs analysis and change readiness assessments
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required or similar MBA, graduate engineer or similar preferred
- Process analysis (including mapping) and improvement skills.
- Project management. A formal certification is preferred but not essential.
- Training and/or coaching experience and experience in designing, maintaining, applying global processes
- English and preferably German
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Up to 20% global travel
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience in customer service environments
- Experience in working in a matrix organisation including building relationships remotely and cross culturally
- Excellent Microsoft Office application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot)
