We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to join our APAC Finance team. In this role, you will support the integrity of our financial reporting by establishing, maintaining, and improving accounting practices across the region. You will analyze financial information, prepare key journal entries, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

This position reports to the Finance Manager – APAC and is part of the Finance & Accounting team located in Singapore and will be remote with expectations to attend the local IDT office from time to time. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, working closely with the APAC Finance team. This includes journal postings, accruals, prepayments, cost center reviews, issue resolution, and account reconciliation. This role will collaborate actively with the Korea and Japan entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting within tight month‑end deadlines.
• Manage GST returns for Singapore, organize doubtful debt reviews with the collections team, Finance Manager/Director, and support Operations with daily reporting and tracking of local manufacturing revenue.
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and provide data to support accurate tax filings for VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding taxes.
• Strengthen our internal control environment by performing balance sheet reconciliations, drafting standard operating procedures, and preparing audit evidence for internal/external auditors and tax agents.
• Provide ad hoc support to the APAC Finance team to ensure adequate coverage during key reporting periods and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by refining financial processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring end‑to‑end documentation accuracy.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and general computer applications
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholders

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
