The Sr SAP S/4HANA Finance Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions that enable best-in-class financial operations, support business transformation, and ensure compliance with global standards. This role drives significant impact by leading the adoption of next-generation SAP Finance capabilities, integrating advanced analytics, and supporting digital finance initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work on global S/4HANA transformation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deepen your expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and emerging technologies.

This position is part of the SAP Center of Excellence and will be located in Bengaluru, India. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Architect, design, and implement SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions (including FI, CO, and Asset Accounting) to support global and India-specific business requirements and transformation initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance projects, including process re-engineering, system configuration, data migration, and integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution roadmaps, and ensure alignment with financial, regulatory, and compliance standards, including India statutory and tax requirements.
• Optimize financial processes leveraging S/4HANA innovations such as Universal Journal, Central Finance, and embedded analytics to drive efficiency and real-time insights.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper controls, documentation, and compliance within SAP S/4HANA Finance systems, including India GST, TDS, and other statutory reporting.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance, with at least 3 years in SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture, implementation, and support.
• Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance process design, configuration, and integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).
• Strong proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance data migration, reporting, and compliance with global financial standards (IFRS, SOX, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting India-specific finance requirements in SAP, including GST, TDS, e-invoicing, and statutory reporting.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel up to 10% for project deployments, audits, or team meetings (domestic and international).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation in the Life Sciences or Diagnostics industry.
• Experience working in SAP RAR module
