The Staff Solution Architect, China for Cytiva is responsible for driving productivity by implementing advanced technology solutions, adhering to global standardization, and executing the technical strategy on local solutions that are aligned with Global platforms / strategies.
This position is part of the China IT located in Shanghai and will be working in an on-site model. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Lead end‑to‑end solution architecture Translate business needs into technical solution designs and oversee the full solution lifecycle, including architecture blueprints, technical documentation, and delivery with cross‑functional teams.
- Design enterprise‑grade, scalable architectures Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that comply with enterprise architecture standards and integrate seamlessly with existing platforms, systems, and data environments.
- Drive AI/ML/LLM solution innovation Architect and implement AI-driven solutions—such as prototypes, Po Cs, and scalable applications—and integrate AI/ML/LLM capabilities with internal systems, data platforms, and business workflows.
- Collaborate on architecture patterns and reusable components Partner closely with Digital, Data & AI teams to define solution patterns, develop reusable components, and provide architectural guidance that accelerates adoption and consistency across the organization.
- Align China solutions with global architecture strategy Participate in global design reviews and contribute China‑specific requirements to global platform roadmaps, ensuring local AI solutions remain globally interoperable, compliant, and supportable.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related fields, with 3–7 years of hands‑on experience in software development, data engineering, or AI/ML solution delivery using major AI tech stacks (e.g., Python, Py Torch, Tensor Flow, Lang Chain, Azure AI, OpenAI API). Proven experience designing enterprise‑grade AI solutions, including end‑to‑end model lifecycle management (monitoring, versioning, drift detection, LLMOps) and the ability to evaluate AI business use cases and translate them into technical architectures. Working knowledge of responsible AI practices such as safety, compliance, and risk controls, along with strong understanding of data readiness, data governance, metadata management, and the data integration patterns required for AI/ML and LLM‑based systems. Solid knowledge of cloud architectures, packaged SaaS implementation, system integration, cloud hosting, and contemporary design approaches including RESTful APIs, microservices, and event‑driven architectures Experience working with both global AI platforms (Azure AI, Azure OpenAI) and China‑compliant LLMs (e.g., Baidu, Alibaba Qwen, Tencent), with the ability to design solutions that integrate China‑based platforms and cloud environments with global systems. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience in We Chat/Wecom solutions would be advantageous.
- Experience as an Architect with deep knowledge of the solution design & implementation context in China, specifically in digital transformation projects within a multi-national organization
