This position is part of the **India Commercial Team,**located in **Mumbai or New Delhi, India **and will be remote with some expectations to attend the local Danaher office from time to time. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Achieve/exceed annual bookings targets through direct customers and distributor management. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by expanding customer base and establishing partnerships with key stakeholders in academia, research institutions, and industry sectors.

  • Manage the sales funnel by overseeing lead generation, qualification, and conversion processes to maximize revenue and ensure a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision making.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing exceptional support and understanding their evolving needs.

  • Lead, manage, and develop the sales team by setting clear objectives, providing coaching and feedback, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Leverage on situational leadership skills to navigate internal processes and adhere to standard work procedures.

  • Regularly assess the performance of team members and distributors, recommending and implementing actions to meet performance standards and sales targets.

  • Collaborate with marketing, technical support, customer support, finance and product management teams to deliver tailored solutions and support for customers.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and product positioning.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the biotechnology or life sciences industry with at least 3 years of managerial experience, with a proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate sales teams.

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools. Ability to travel extensively within India as required.

  • Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

  • Capability to work independently, demonstrate self-motivation, and remain focused on achieving targets.
