Position Overview:

The Janitorial Technician is responsible for daily cleaning, ensuring quality standards, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Team members must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to; perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.

  • Removes trash from offices and other work areas. Stripping and waxing of floors, burnishing waxed floors, cleaning, and maintaining carpeted floors, and floor scrubbing of ceramic tile floors. Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repair. Follow established routine. Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.

  • Must be able to use hand tools and cleaning machinery on a daily basis such as floor sweepers and brooms.

  • Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.

  • Compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.

  • Communicates with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives

  • Maintain personal tools required for your job.

  • Meet physical requirements of the job.

  • Maintain good attendance in accordance with Company policy

  • Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.

  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.

  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

Qualifications

  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience required;

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

  • Must pass background check and drug screen

What is the work environment?

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $18.70 - $22.00
