Job Description Summary

The Team Lead Research & Insight will oversee research activities across Germany and will be responsible for the coordination and quality control of all key research deliverables and activities while driving the thought leadership agenda for the business locally.
The incumbent will drive high levels of client engagement and will support the overall business by managing resources that help generate revenue across markets and sectors, targeting key priority clients and regular presentations to clients. Speaking at industry forums and to the press will be a key element of the role.

The role will ensure connectivity between the local research team and EMEA research sector leads to improve efficiency in the production of research deliverables and the overall client experience in Germany, as well as connectivity into the regional BDS team.

With a deep understanding of the German property market data landscape and existing data systems, the individual will drive improved data quality and consistency and assist with making data accessible to key stakeholders locally.

Working in close alignment with the German BDS head and Marcomms, the individual will be responsible for increasing our brand profile and showcasing the firm’s deep understanding of the latest real estate, economic, policy developments and demographic trends through best-in-class sector research.

The role will directly report to and work closely with the Head of Business Development Services, Germany to ensure consistency of client experience, consistency of process and operational excellence.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thought Leadership: Through the analysis of data and identification of trends and perspectives, drive the thought leadership agenda, facilitating and supervising production. Provide output and insight to key clients, local leadership, the marketing team, fee-earners, and the media.
  • German Regular Reporting & Presentations: Implement sound procedures for producing the highest quality quarterly deliverables and actionable insights, standardize Cushman & Wakefield’s data driven presentations and Market Beat publications improving consistency and timeliness to market.
  • Support high levels of client engagement: Presenting on key sectors to key clients across Germany, from a variety of service lines. Engage with industry bodies to leverage their events seeking out speaking opportunities.
  • Support on key client prospecting, pitch and/or proposal materials: Ensure local research team is collaborating to support sales and transaction related activities, driving opportunities and leads to the business, maximizing the ROI from each and every deliverable.
  • Leverage the power of Cushman & Wakefield’s digital ecosystem across our global website and other digital channels generating value for the business. Engage regularly with Marketing colleagues to ensure that all service line and sector related content is being picked up and fully leveraged with an appropriate audience.
  • Be the voice of Cushman & Wakefield Research Germany, providing comment for press releases and engaging with the press to drive brand visibility. Drive the profile of the firm across Germany, utilising content generated locally, by the regional research team, the Think Tank and business lines thereafter leveraging the channels enabled by the marketing team.
  • Data Quality, Coverage & Collection: Help improve the quality of German data to enhance reporting locally and to support EMEA and global reporting. Data Quality and Improvement: Work with business and other sources to enhance existing data quality, set targets for data coverage, and create gap analysis to identify deficiencies and action plans to enrich data.
  • Data Support, Collaboration and On-Boarding: Take responsibility for the sign off of data at a local level. Assist global, regional, and local teams in data reporting, ensuring data is prepared and structured correctly, and support improvements in data quality and reporting detail. Structure and integrate while maintaining the accuracy and completeness of Germany data for reporting needs. Ensure data is delivered in a timely manner to meet local, EMEA or Global reporting.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in senior roles in professional services or real estate sector
  • Bachelor Degree in Research, Economics or Real Estate preferred
  • Experience in setting and implementing client-focused strategies that deliver business outcomes
  • Proven track record in data curation, analysis and insight
  • Excellence written and oral communication skills in German and English
  • Excellent stakeholder management across local business leaders
  • Commercial acumen to support the conversion of revenue opportunities with ability to prioritize projects and resources that will drive local sales & transactions
  • Data savvy with strong attention to detail to maintain quality and accuracy
