Sector Lead – Development Advisory
Job Description Summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Sector Lead – Development Advisory to oversee and grow our advisory services in Czechia. This role sits within the Project & Development Services team and is responsible for leading the delivery of Technical Due Diligence (TDD) surveys and development advisory services for major institutional investors, developers, lenders, and financial institutions active in the real estate market.
The successful candidate will act as the senior technical voice in the market, ensuring the highest quality of client service, strengthening our position as a trusted advisor, and driving business development across all real estate sectors.
Job Description:
Service Leadership & Delivery
-
Lead the end-to-end delivery of Technical Due Diligence surveys across acquisitions, disposals, and financing processes.

Provide expert development advisory covering feasibility, design review, cost assessment, programme evaluation, ESG assessment, and building compliance.

Ensure technical advice is commercially grounded, client-focused, and aligned with Cushman & Wakefield’s quality standards.

Oversee project teams and external specialists, ensuring coordinated, timely, and accurate reporting.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as primary senior advisor for major investors, lenders, and developers, building long-term strategic relationships.

Translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that support investment and lending decisions.

Represent Cushman & Wakefield in negotiations, technical discussions, and stakeholder meetings.
Business Development & Market Growth

Drive the growth of the Development Advisory practice in Czechia.

Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and pitch presentations for TDD and advisory mandates.

Collaborate with internal teams to create integrated client solutions.
Team Leadership & Operations

Mentor and develop junior and mid-level technical staff.

Implement best practices for TDD methodologies, risk assessment, reporting structure, and QA/QC processes.

Support forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning.
Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
-
Ensure reports and advisory outputs meet global standards and regulatory requirements.

Identify risks in development projects, building condition, ESG compliance, construction quality, and statutory approvals.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
-
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Surveying, or related technical field.
-
7–10 years of experience in Development Advisory, Technical Due Diligence, Project Management, or related fields.

Strong track record delivering TDD for institutional investors or lenders.
-
Excellent knowledge of Czech building regulations and construction standards.
-
Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.

Strong leadership experience.
Preferred
-
Professional accreditation (RICS, PMP, Chartered Engineer/Architect).

Experience across multiple asset classes.

Established client network.
