Job Description Summary

The Service Manager – Trades will oversee service delivery for a new client contract based in Canberra, leading a team of mobile trade staff across diverse property portfolios. Reporting to the State Trade Manager, the role manages planned and reactive maintenance, minor works, and project delivery while ensuring compliance with WHSSE standards and building strong client relationships. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity to shape operations from day one, foster a collaborative team culture, and drive service excellence across multiple industries.

Scope and Purpose of Role:

The C&W Facilities Services Trades Team is responsible for the delivery of a range of skilled services to Cushman & Wakefield Clients property portfolios – nationwide and external clients. Works include planned, corrective and reactive maintenance, contractor management, minor and major project works and adhoc service delivery services.

The works are diverse and includes, but not limited to:

· retail fuel facilities,

· banking institutes,

· medical facilities,

· shopping centres,

· high rise, warehouses

· bulky goods storage and others.

The Customer’s/Clients experience is fundamental in the delivery for C&W Services Team, therefore exceptional customer service and communication is a must. Full adherence to all WHSSE compliance is essential.

All employees are required to contribute to achieving the business objectives of Cushman & Wakefield as set out in National, State and Divisional Plans. All employees are required to positively promote Cushman & Wakefield and, in all dealings, both internally/externally and with third parties.

The Supervisor Manager is an experienced service manager responsible to deliver exceptional customer service to keep the division running in an effective and profitable manner to increase customer satisfaction.

Background and Experience:

  • Customer service experience in a Service delivery capacity
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolutions
  • Knowledge of software systems relative to Service and business
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills
  • Budget and Asset management skills
  • Negotiation skills

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Tertiary or Trade qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Professional skills – demonstrate market knowledge and proficiency in your field; maintain high ethical standards always; keep abreast of industry and professional developments to maintain personal expertise
  • Ensure compliance with the Cushman & Wakefield Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure timely completion of compulsory OH&S and EEO training requirements and maintain compliance to associated legislation.
  • Gather intellectual property for the benefit of the Company and employees.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal requirements associated with the role including, but not limited to, The Trade Practices Act, Legislation, Fair Trading Act, Contract and Employment Law
  • Meet internal obligations - including all National Office administration, systems and procedural requirements, accreditation and licensing requirements; proactively participate in the ongoing performance review process, by identifying training and development opportunities and setting challenging yet achievable objectives in conjunction with your manager
