Job Description Summary

Our Tenant Representation Internship is designed to offer a thorough experience that equips interns with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers within real estate. Over the course of 8 - 10 weeks, interns will gain real-world, hands-on experience in the industry by handling important assignments, problem solving, and taking ownership of their work.
As part of the internship experience, interns will participate in our Virtual Global Speaker Series, which offers insights into the commercial real estate industry and professional development topics. These sessions also provide a deeper understanding of our company culture and values. Additionally, each intern is paired with a mentor for bi-weekly meetings, offering personalized guidance and support throughout the program.

Job Description:

As a Tenant Representation Intern at C&W, you will:

  • Assist and advise tenant-clients on real estate matters, helping them navigate leasing decisions and property-related concerns.

  • Track market activity and help identify potential rental properties that meet client needs.

  • Collaborate with the leasing team to support the successful leasing of commercial properties.

  • Help develop solutions for client issues, such as negotiating rent reductions or addressing maintenance concerns.

  • Participate in lease negotiations and assist in finalizing lease agreements on behalf of clients.

  • Monitor lease compliance and help process contract updates or amendments as needed.

  • Support administrative tasks and project coordination to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Help maintain and update property databases and tracking tools, ensuring accurate records of available listings and client preferences.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating client databases and internal CRM systems, including Costar.

  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials such as brochures and flyers.

  • Gather and compile information for marketing activity reports to support the broker team as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing department on the production of pitches and proposals, especially when coordination with outside vendors is necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA

  • Interest in a career path within Tenant Representation

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) to support daily tasks and presentations.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.

  • Organized and detail-oriented, being able to manage multiple tasks while staying focused and efficient.

  • Team player with a proactive mindset, capable of working independently and contributing to group efforts.

  • Permanent US work authorization required.

  • We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $17.00 - $20.00
