Job Description Summary

The Associate Director is responsible for helping to direct, support and guide the project managers in the state as well as ensuring project governance for all projects. The role is to ensure the successful delivery of projects to time and budget for all projects in region and ensure that clients are satisfied with teams performance. The role is also key in ensuring client growth and retention, and will help deliver business development activities in the state through helping to implement states sales strategies ensuring that key clients are identified, targeted, managed and revenue converted for opportunities

Typical activities undertaken in this role will include the day to day management of staff in the state, as well as day to day project oversight, governance checks, dealing with project contractual issues and finalisation, as well as ensuring Project Managers adhere to project requirements in delivery.
This is a people leadership role with responsibility for ensuring a states resources and projects are managed effectively and ensuring C&W provide optimal service delivery performance.

Scope of Role As a leader in the PDS service line for the region, this role maintains critical client relationships at local, regional and global
levels and represents the Cushman & Wakefield brand in the industry.

Key Relationships Internal Relationships**: this role will liaise with clients and market vendors and associated supply chains.**External Relationships: this role will liaise with PDS leadership, Regional Directors as well as other business stream leads.

The Project & Development Services team offer a full suite of offerings from Project Management, Cost Management, Building Consultancy, MEP Design, Workplace, Interior Design, Programme Management Office (PMO) and Design & Build to our clients.

This position will focus on both our people, our process and our clients across the PDS service line. You will harness and help to grow the team, including both new and existing team members ensuring constant communication regarding process and growth opportunities for the service line within the Asia Pacific region. Remaining an active team member and working on projects will remain an important part of this role.

Background & Experience:

  • A background in the built environment industry.

  • A broad industry network and ability to maintain relationships.

  • Proven ability to build a business commensurate with financial targets.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with key clients, potential clients, industry stakeholders, investors, potential investors and government bodies to retain, secure and grow the service line.

  • Ability to develop a leadership presence, with a strong focus on teamwork.

  • Business acumen, consisting of a proven track record of sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and delivery of shareholder value.

  • Ability to ensure projects, investments and additional activities of the regions are prioritized, and well managed in financially and in delivery.

  • Ability to support and coach Direct Reports to focus heavily on securing a pipeline of opportunities.

  • Strong financial discipline, strategic capability, and commercial acumen proven in the delivery of superior commercial and financial results.
