About the Role:

Crowd Strike is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to join our Asset Management Engineering team. This team is dedicated to delivering top-tier experiences to our customers by providing centralized visibility into their asset usage. We offer application inventory solutions that provide insights and management capabilities for the applications running on their assets, ultimately securing their digital perimeter and preventing breaches. As a member of this team, you will own a significant portion of the stack and collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, UI Engineers, Product teams, and other stakeholders to build and enhance our Asset Management solutions.

***This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in our Sunnyvale, CA office. *What You’ll Do: **

• Write secure and maintainable code that powers one of Crowd Strike’s flagship products
• Collaborate with others across multiple teams to brainstorm, research, and build solutions that are driven by our Product roadmap
• Build, maintain, and improve backend microservices written in Golang
• Launch and support features that will be used by millions of users around the world
• Understand business and engineering requirements so that you can be proactive in sharing ideas and solutions
• Constantly be aware of our customers and keep them front of mind while planning and releasing features
• Have a strong focus on quality of code through best practices, testing, logging and metrics
• Have the autonomy to own your work in a high trust environment

What You’ll Need:

• A minimum of 5+ years of overall software engineering experience
• A minimum of 3+ years in Golang, Kafka, Cassandra, or similar
• Production-level experience in building, delivering, and maintaining systems at scale
• Expertise in distributed systems, platform services, mirco-service architectures, multi-region architectures, software development best practices, observability and reliability engineering
• Expertise in scalability such as queues, concurrency, sharding, partitioning, etc.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cloud code or similar platforms
• Proven ability to integrate AI into daily workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes
• Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible usage practices
• A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture
• Multiple years of experience debugging complex issues at every level of the stack
• The ability to work independently, but also collaboratively

Bonus

• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity industry

Crowd Strike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
