Position: Senior Interpreter

We're looking for skilled and motivated Chinese-English interpreter/translator to support bilingual verbal and written communication within the company and with external partners. You'll work with a large group of multi-lingual interpreters within the company, ensuring seamless operation of all functions without language barrier.

What will you do?

· Translate messages, live talks, recordings, and documents between languages, paying close attention to delivering the proper context, meaning, and tone while using professional jargon.
· Collaborate with colleagues to compile useful information (vocabularies, definitions, etc.) into glossaries to be regularly referenced during translation.
· Follow existing ethical rules to protect and protect sensitive confidential information.
· Find phrases and vocabularies with conflicting meanings and determine replacements that are clear in meaning and can also reflect the original message.
· Check, revise, and edit translations to amend discrepancies in professional jargon used to ensure consistency between the final output and the original document.
· Consult dictionaries, encyclopedias, and terminologies to keep learning and updating the meaning of vocabulary.
· Record changes to translated documents, and orderly file the change records to facilitate future reference.
· Analyze meeting participants and participate in meeting briefings to understand the contents to be interpreted and evaluate the optimal interpreting method.

Essential Qualifications:

· Master's degree and relevant qualification in English-Chinese translation/interpretation
· Fluent in English and Mandarin
· Familiar with machine-assisted translation
· 3 to 5 years of in-house or freelance interpreting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Good interpersonal skills. Excellent understanding of written and oral communication
· Can work in a fast-paced environment
