Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to lead multi-domain testing efforts across our Eats business. You will define test strategies, drive automation, and ensure end-to-end quality across integrated systems. This role requires strong ownership, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams. You will play a key part in improving automation, strengthening CI/CD quality gates, and ensuring platform readiness for global markets.

What You Will Do

Test Strategy & Execution

• Design test plans covering front-end, back-end, mobile, API, workflow integration, and E2E scenarios.

• Work on multi-domain testing, including restaurant onboarding, promotions, and inventory on customer and merchant side.

• Perform advanced E2E validation simulating real customer journeys.

Test Automation & CI/CD

• Develop, maintain, and scale automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Pytest, or similar).

• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) to support high-velocity releases.

• Improve automation coverage and reduce manual regression cycles.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to refine requirements and identify risks early.

Quality Governance

• Identify defects, root causes, and quality gaps; collaborate with engineers for timely fixes.

• Analyze logs, metrics, and dashboards to support troubleshooting and quality improvements.

Preferred Globalization Exposure

• Experience with globalization (G11N) readiness checks for multi-country rollouts.

• Conduct internationalization (I18N) testing of formats, rules, local compliance, and multi-region logic.

• Perform localization (L10N) testing for language accuracy, content validation, and cultural relevance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• QA working experience of 2+ years with strong exposure to e-commerce, food delivery, or large-scale transactional systems.

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (Java / Python preferred).

• Strong knowledge of Agile testing practices, API validation, data validation, and multi-domain workflows.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across global teams.

• Experience working with AI-based testing tools or agents is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or similar QA certification.

• Familiarity with microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Experience with payment domain testing or other complex domain integrations.

Type of work model

• Hybrid

Our Hybrid work model: Coupang hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration that acts a catalyst to enrich the experience of employees. Employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, depending on the role requirement. Some businesses may require more time in office due to nature of work.
