We analyze business requirements and transform them into the latest digital processes and systems. This enables Continental’s Tire business to continuously improve production performance and quality results in order to meet customer requirements.
Our team of the Solution Development Center (SDC) develops, implements and supports automation solutions for our tire plants worldwide. By joining the development team, you will be responsible for development, industrialization and support of Manufacturing Execution System of our production in all Continental Tire factories around the world. You will be part of a motivated IT team supporting digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects and activities on global scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop our manufacturing execution system based on requirements from internal business partners using mainly Microsoft technologies .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server and others like RabbitMQ and MQTT;
- Contribution of system architecture definition and direction;
- Analyze and implement requirements into our system;
- Collaborate on roll-out of features and systems in our tire plants;
- Collaborate with an international multi-cultural team in 7 locations around the globe;
- Remote and occasional on-site 3rd level IT support of ~20 tire plants in Europe, US, Mexico, Brazil, China, Malaysia, Thailand, etc..

- Academic degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar;
- +2 years of working experience as professional software developer, especially developing MES solutions (C#, .NET);
- Experience with databases and SQL (MS SQL Server is a plus);
- Proficient English language skills (written and verbal);
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies;
- Experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core (Unit Testing is a plus);
- Collaborative mind-set and good communication;
- Intercultural sensitivity;
- Willingness to international travelling (up to 15%).
