The Production Area Leader is fully responsible for overseeing the safety, daily operations, compliance, and continuous improvement within the Curing & OB area. This role ensures smooth production flow, adherence to quality standards, and fosters a culture of safety and efficiency. The leader also collaborates across departments to drive strategic initiatives and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
⚙️ Daily Operations (Full Responsibility)
- Ensure operators follow all quality checks, SOPs, and standards.
- Lead SAT4 meetings and escalate issues to relevant departments.
- Monitor daily GT stock inventory and ensure accuracy.
- Enforce discipline and manage daily manpower arrangements.
- Ensure production runs smoothly and revise plans as needed.
- Escalate production issues to Business Team Leader /HOD or support teams.
- Coordinate with Engineering during breakdowns and prioritize repairs.
📋 Adherence & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SH policies, QMS, PPS, and internal procedures.
- Coordinate and document counseling sessions.
- Ensure availability of updated Work Instructions and Specifications.
🧭 Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and execute corrective and contingency plans.
- Improve and stabilize process capability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions using structured analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement and collaborate with support functions for improvement initiatives.
📈 Production / Quality / Efficiency Improvements
- Implement efficient processes to meet output and quality targets.
- Maintain production quality through robust process controls.
- Align equipment, tooling, and processes with product requirements.
- Execute corrective actions and CI activities related to scrap, rework, tire weight, and cured tire dimensions.

Lead accident investigations and follow-ups in Curing & OB.

Ensure operators receive proper training and tools.

Identify and arrange for multi-skill development as needed.
Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Manufacturing with minimum 5 years experience OR Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Manufacturing with minimum 3 years experience.
Preferably have experience in managing Shopfloor employees.
