We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our SAP Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, architecture, and optimization of SAP landscapes, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all SAP systems. This role involves strategic planning, project leadership, and hands-on technical expertise in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration and operation of SAP systems landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, etc.)
- Design and implement SAP system landscapes, including upgrades, migrations, and patching in close co-operation with the application team and the provider
- Manage and optimize system performance, capacity planning
- Ensure compliance with security policies, user and role administration, and system audits
- Collaborate with the provider teams (network, storage, OS, upgrades) to ensure seamless SAP operations
- Support SAP HANA database administration and tuning
- Drive automation and standardization of SAP Basis processes
- Provide technical leadership in SAP projects, including cloud transformation and integration initiatives
- Mentor junior consultants and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders
Close collaboration with the external data center provider
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration
- Strong expertise in SAP Net Weaver, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP cloud services
- Experience with SAP system migrations (e.g., upgrades, cloud migration)
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, and hybrid system landscapes
- Proficient in system monitoring tools and performance tuning
- Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and high availability setups
- Fluent in English
Preferred Skills:
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
