The Finance department of Conoco Phillips in Norway has ~65 motivated and competent employees looking forward to getting a new colleague. We cover a broad area ranging from Accounting, Controlling, Financial Reporting, Tax, Business Analysis, Strategy & Portfolio Analysis, Treasury Services and Economics & Decision Support. Digitalization, analytics and robotic process automation are high on our agenda. The Norway organization supports Conoco Phillips’ business in Europe and North Africa. Position Overview:

Conoco Phillips Norway is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will contribute and gain experience across key finance disciplines within the energy industry.

Responsibility

• Budgeting, controlling, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting & analysis of results versus objectives for selected areas of the business

• Providing analysis and financial information to senior leaders to guide decision making

• Ongoing follow-up of operations and drivers in the business unit

• Optimizing business performance by identifying areas of improvement and participating in projects

• Further developing performance management framework (e.g. dashboards & KPIs) to support strategic and operational progress of the business

• Active involvement in improvement projects related to the Finance function, including further development of routines and processes

• Leveraging digital tools for performance management as well as continuous improvement of main finance processes

• Ad-hoc financial tasks

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, auditing or similar

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably from the energy industry

• Strong system & analytical skills

• Graduate candidates will also be evaluated

Preferred competencies

• Strong business understanding with financial acumen and the ability to translate operational activity into clear financial insight.

• Proactive, service-minded, and focused on building strong relationships across disciplines

• Motivated by continuous improvement and increased use of digital tools and automation

• Interpersonal communication, both written & oral presentation skills

• Ability to meet deadlines through good time management and prioritization
