About The Role:
Condé Nast is looking for an experienced engineer to join and help us build the next generation of our digital products. You will work closely with our product teams and help the engineering team in their shared mission to scale out and build our public-facing platform. These teams’ focus spans many types of products essential to both editors, other engineers, and subscribers. Your work will drive the future of Condé Nast’s digital strategy in today’s publishing market and reach our millions of readers around the world.
About Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other disciplines (engineering, design, product) in the creation and iteration of web applications built for our subscribers
- Helping leading projects from ideation to execution to maintenance
- Collaborating with the broader engineering group on new ideas or improving existing ones
- Identify and improve code and usability performance issues
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Helping us grow and expand our engineering teams in Implementation of complex React frontends and Node apps using a mix of Express, Nest Js and others
- Inception of new concepts and libraries for the optimization of dynamic websites
Desired Skills and Qualifications:

hands-on experience in front-end development using React and solid knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable building scalable, user-friendly web applications and collaborating closely with backend and product teams.

Database knowledge is a plus.
Front-End:
-
Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React
-
Build reusable components and front-end libraries
-
Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, clean, and efficient code
-
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
-
Write unit and integration tests for front-end components
Backend:
-
Develop and maintain Node.js services and APIs
-
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs
-
Handle basic backend logic, validations, and error handling
Our tech:
- Languages and Frameworks: Javascript, Node.JS, React (and React ecosystem)
- Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, LESS, Sass, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS
- APIs: GraphQL, Rest
- Data: MongoDB, SQL
- Source Control: Git, GitHub
- Deployment: Docker (Good to have), AWS
- Kubernetes Elasticsearch (Good to have)
