We are hiring for a NH3 tech to help produce biscuits, hotcakes, and Mc Griddles at our Louisville, KY facility. You will report to the facilities manager.

• Third shift
• Location: Onsite at our Louisville, KY plant
• Hourly Rate: $39.25 +.75 shift differential

Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will maintain safe and reliable ammonia refrigeration and utility systems in a fast‑paced environment. You will complete technical repairs, monitor system performance, document key operating data, and support a strong safety culture across the plant.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on utility equipment
• Complete logs and documentation for boilers, compressors, temperatures, and pressures
• Maintain refrigerant records and related compliance paperwork
• Service, repair, and rebuild valves, pumps, and related components
• Monitor room temperatures and adjust the hot water heater as needed
• Respond to alarms and communicate issues to the shift team
• Follow Safety, HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, and PSM/RMP requirements
• Participate in the Process Safety Management Program and Safety pillar
• Coordinate work with contractors
• Support major and minor repairs on boilers, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, air compressors, fire systems, and cooling towers
• Other duties as assigned

Ingredients Required for Your Success

• High school diploma or GED
• Required: Two years of experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems
• RETA CARO or CIRO certification or the willingness to obtain one within 90 days
• Desired: Experience in utilities such as HVAC/R, controls, or electrical
• Strong troubleshooting focus and commitment to safe work practices
