Shift: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $20.63 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

Conagra Brands, a leading supplier of Birds Eye products in Darien, WI, is seeking a Case Erector to join our production team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring packaging operations run smoothly and efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of one of Conagra’s largest manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and follow production schedule instructions accurately.

• Set up, operate, and adjust case erector, conveyors, auto casers or hand casers, case taper, case coder, and palletizer to meet production requirements and specifications.

• Inspect and prepare cases and other packaging materials for production.

• Ensure proper flow of materials to the production line and maintain consistent supply.

• Monitor equipment and product quality, stopping production and reporting any serious deviations or equipment malfunctions.

• Assist with start-up, changeover, and shutdown activities, including equipment tear-down and preparation for cleaning.

• Protect products from contamination and monitor finished goods for proper temperature control.

• Provide guidance to line workers on packaging operations.

• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet physical requirements and perform all duties safely.

• Strong communication skills to work effectively within the team.

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn:

Food handling and packaging practices

• Safe working practices

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

• Quality control and critical control points

• Allergen and bloodborne pathogen control

• Reliable and consistent attendance with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
