Lead the future of Vendor Management in the Enterprise Technology & Security (ETS) organization! As Department Manager in the ETS Vendor Management Office, youll take charge of the Vendor Management team and play a pivotal role in shaping vendor strategy and operational excellence within ETS.

In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of strategic ETS vendor relationships, focusing on optimizing vendor performance, ensuring contractual compliance, and managing costs. Champion process excellence: Ensure seamless execution of vendor governance processes with transparency in performance, cost, schedule, and resource allocation! Collaborate across the company: Work closely with ETS and business project managers, ETS leadership, and senior executives to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

Required Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Supply Chain, Computer Science, or other related function and a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Supply Chain, Computer Science, or other related function and a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Supply Chain, Computer Science, or other related function and a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience managing IT vendors and service providers, including governance, performance management, and cost control, change management, financial oversight, contract negotiation, and sourcing transitions or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Supply Chain, Computer Science, or other related function and a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience managing IT vendors and service providers, including governance, performance management, and cost control, change management, financial oversight, contract negotiation, and sourcing transitions

Relevant Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Change Management, IT Transformation, Financial Management, and IT Planning and Strategy development across all IT disciplines, supporting large scale initiatives and enterprise priorities, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT vendor management experience, including building vendor management capabilities, governing standard operating processes, and overseeing sourcing transitions to ensure continuity, performance, and cost control, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership and people management experience, with a focus on developing high performance teams, setting clear expectations, and driving accountability and professional growth, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT project management experience, leading cross functional teams, managing schedules and budgets, and delivering complex initiatives aligned with business objectives, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience negotiating contracts with IT service providers, including scope definition, pricing, service level agreements, and risk management, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT financial management experience, including budget planning, forecasting, cost optimization, and financial reporting in support of IT operations and transformation efforts, preferred
  • Experience in IT operations management experience, supporting day to day technology services and operational governance, preferred

Physical Demands

Additional Physical Demands

  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • May require minimal domestic and/or international travel (up to 10%) to conduct site visits to vendors or business partners

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and lead the overall vendor optimization strategy, including strategic sourcing plans and ongoing maturation of governance processes
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize vendor performance, cost efficiency, and compliance
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key strategic vendors. Schedule and facilitate regular senior-level meetings with vendors and business users to promote collaboration. Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and the ETS leadership team
  • Participate in the budgeting process, including the development and review of the annual ETS budget
  • Monitor and measure fulfillment of contractual obligations, ensuring all terms, conditions, commitments, and notifications are satisfied. Proactively mitigate risks and ensure deliverables and contractual constructs are fit for purpose
  • Responsible for internal and external communications regarding ETS contracts and vendor relationships. Act as the primary interface between ETS and vendors, ensuring business and compliance requirements are integrated and participate in decision-making processes
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor provider performance, challenge under-performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Facilitate timely resolution of contractual issues to minimize business service disruptions. Develop and implement strategies to address under-performance compliance failures, working closely with the legal department for guidance
  • Coordinate contract changes, including evaluation, authorization, and contract updates, working closely with Supply Chain. Identify and advise stakeholders on the impact of changes and coordinate with Supply Chain on negotiating contract amendments as needed
  • Safeguard the commercial relationship with the Providers along with the integrity of pricing schedules and mechanisms, ensuring they are appropriate and fit for purpose
  • Develop a strong understanding of ETS, Law, and Supply Chain department operations and procedures. Engage these teams as required to support vendor management activities
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of ETS vendor management documentation, including vendor tracking, analytics, and performance management tools such as scorecards and dashboards
  • Perform additional tasks and assignments as required to support organizational objectives and vendor management excellence
  • Lead and develop a team of managers through coaching, performance management, and effective work assignment to drive aligned execution and business outcomes.
