Job Summary
Responsible for extracting knowledge and insights from high volume, high dimensional data in order to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques, which may include the use of advanced statistical analysis, algorithms, predictive modeling, experimentation and pattern recognition to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance. Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. The team is composed of experts in artificial intelligence, deep learning, data-structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and system performance and analysis. The systems that the team builds get used across the multitude of Company data science-based services and deployments. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.
Job Description Core Responsibilities
- Proven 5 years of commercial experience in creating, testing, deploying, monitoring and maintaining machine learning pipelines
- **Fluent with data manipulation and ML frameworks for EDA, feature extraction and development, modelling, hyperparameter tuning, experiment tracking and performance monitoring. **
- **Expertise in correlation analysis, classification / clustering techniques, anomaly detection and time series forecasting using either traditional or deep learning ML approaches **
- **Strong Python background with the ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices including abstraction, exceptions handling, and testing to support long-term maintainability. **
- Experience using SQL data exploration, feature extraction, and integration with analytical workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and products like Google VertexAI, Big Query, CloudSQL, Compute Engine or similar solutions
- Demonstrated ability to support, mentor, and guide junior to mid-level data scientists and machine learning engineers
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives etc.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
- PhD at a relevant field
- Networking/Telecommunications knowledge
- Experience with data visualisation tools and frameworks such as Dash, Streamlit, Superset etc, to aid in the presentation of model results and findings.
