Job Summary
Comcast is looking for a Sr. Analyst to join the Enterprise Procurement team to focus on Fixed Network Infrastructure across Comcast Cable, Sky and NBCUniversal. This category includes network hardware & associated software, as well as the services involved in deploying and maintaining the hardware & associated software in Comcast’s network.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to support the development and execution of category strategies that support Comcast’s growth, efficiency, and reliability targets. This role reports to the Executive Director of Fixed Network & Wireless Infrastructure.
Candidates should have strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, and a willingness to learn procurement processes. They should feel comfortable supporting negotiations through research, analysis, and preparation. Key skills for this role include supplier and category research, financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and developing negotiation fundamentals.
Job Description Core Responsibilities
- Support category strategy work by conducting supplier and market research, as well as helping document the category activities
- Assist with RFPs and bespoke negotiations by gathering information and preparing documentation, and by supporting negotiations through analysis and coordination
- Assist with supplier communication and coordination, including tracking key metrics as needed
- Provide supporting analysis for commercial discussions & help prepare clear summaries to support team decision-making, budget planning and contract renewals
- Prepare clear, accurate summaries and contribute to presentation materials to support team communication needs to senior leadership audiences
- Use Comcast procurement systems and tools to effectively manage projects and report results & savings
General Candidate Requirements
- Clear communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong organizational skills to support category strategy execution
- Financial and economic acumen, including the ability to gather and analyze data, and develop business cases to evaluate strategic options
- Experience supporting presentation development, with the ability to progress toward presenting independently
- Basic understanding of procurement and the impact of broader market trends on strategic decision making
- Commercial mindset and data analysis skills, including data visualization
- Demonstrated curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and comfort operating in new or ambiguous problem spaces
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, with 3 years related experience. Degrees in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain/Operations are preferred, but other majors accepted with the right work experience
- Consulting experience, Business Development, Telecom/Cable experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Financial Analysis and Modeling
