Job Summary
Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Oversees the documentation of all development activity. Trains non-technical personnel. Assists with tracking performance metrics. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Key Skill: ETL, Py Spark, Python, DevOps,REST APIs, SQL,Cloud.

Design, implement, and maintain software and web applications with a strong focus on Data Engineering.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient architecture and code.

Adhere to best software engineering practices and integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities.
-
Emphasize automation and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
-
Contribute to the development and improvement of application metrics.
-
Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
-
Stay current with the latest technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, Databricks, and Graph Databases, and proactively suggest improvements to optimize applications.
Required Experience and Skills:
-
8–10 years of experience in software design and development, with a focus on Data Engineering.
-
Proven technical leadership, strong communication, and collaboration skills.
-
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
-
Proficient in Python, with solid understanding of concurrent processing.
-
Hands-on experience in developing complex ETL applications using Apache Spark and SQL.
-
Strong experience with AWS infrastructure/ecosystem, including: S3, Lambda, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, Kinesis/Kafka, SNS, SQS.
-
Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and frameworks like Flask or Django.
-
Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes for application development.
-
Familiarity with unit/integration testing frameworks such as pytest, cucumber, etc.
-
Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, or Concourse.
-
Good understanding of data engineering systems including: Datalakes, file formats, batch & stream processing.
-
Databricks experience is a plus.
-
Knowledge of Graph Databases (AWS Neptune, Neo4j) is a significant advantage.

Exposure to observability tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry is a plus.
Qualifications:

8+ Years of Software/Engineering overall industry experience

Experience in Python, Apache Spark, SQL & AWS is mandatory
