In the P&W PR Development Operations Assembly Equipment Engineering team we design and analyze equipment to assemble and disassemble Pratt and Whitney commercial and military aircraft engines. These tools are not common and can’t be found in stores, they are tailored to provide solutions to specific needs, fit tight tolerances and exact dimensions of different aircraft engine parts and modules. In this role you’ll collaborate with local and overseas peers, identify requirements, design, draft, present and analyze assembly and disassembly aircraft engine equipment. To achieve our mission, mechanical design, structural mechanics & engineering principles are combined with CAE software programs, such as CAD and FEA, to produce functional, safe, reliable and manufacturable assembly/disassembly operations equipment. The assembly equipment professional is a curious, proactive, problem solver, that displays innovation, collaboration and a continuous improvement mindset along with our company leadership behaviors and values to achieve goals.
