Position Role Type:

PCB Design Engineer – High Speed / High Power (3–6 Years Experience)

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented PCB Design Engineer with strong experience in complex, high-reliability board design environments. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in high-speed, high-power, mixed-signal PCB layout and demonstrate proficiency with enterprise-grade PCB design tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced PCB Design & Layout

  • Perform end-to-end PCB layout design for Analog, Digital, Mixed-Signal, High-Speed, High-Power, Multilayer, and Flex-Rigid boards.

  • Develop hierarchical schematics using xDX Designer.

  • Execute component placement, signal routing (including high-power signals), plane definition, and stack-up design.

  • Design and manage Blind, Buried, and Microvias.

  • Apply and validate design constraints using Constraint Manager.

  • Perform DRC checks and ensure Class-3 PCB layout compliance.

Design Verification & Manufacturing Readiness

  • Create and validate Gerber files and manufacturing outputs.

  • Perform Gerber validation using CAM tools.

  • Generate complete drawing sets for PWB and CCA level documentation.

  • Prepare assembly drawings and packaging documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with IPC, IEEE, and MIL standards.

  • Collaborate with fabrication engineers to ensure DFM/DFA compliance for prototype and production builds.

Library & Data Management

  • Manage symbol, footprint, and part creation processes using Mentor Graphics Enterprise tools.

  • Work with Global Component Database (GCD) for part approval and release.

  • Handle part requests and maintain database accuracy.

  • Develop reusable blocks and integrate them with library managers.

  • Support configuration management using Teamcenter / SVN / Enovia (PDM).

Tool Expertise

Primary Tools:

  • Xpedition Enterprise VX.2.6 and above

xDX Designer

  • xPCB Layout

  • Valor NPI

Optional Tools:

  • Cadence Allegro / Concept HDL Capture

  • Altium Designer

Data/Library Tools:

  • EDM Librarian

  • EDM Design Cockpit

  • GCD (Global Component Database)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in high-reliability PCB layout design.

  • Strong understanding of Class-3 PCB manufacturing requirements.

  • Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication.

  • CID / CID+ certification is an added advantage.
