Overview:

Collins is working building industry challenging Avionics products making the products smaller, smarter and more efficient. Platform software provides an infrastructure for hosting an Operating system and application services that interfaces with hardware.

Job responsibilities:

• Associate Manager
• Embedded Platform Software
• Communicate and Coordinate effectively with the teams.
• Build and nurture team at offshore, develop team strengths and improve upon their competency.
• Lead and Motivate team on future technologies.
• Identify potential solutions for problems, Prototype the solution , create whitepaper/thesis.
• Maintain integrity and work ethics within the team.
• Help others to succeed.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development and Verification.

Qualifications:

• Role would involve 70% Technical and 30% management.
• Hands on different stages of software life cycle.
• Excellent understanding of system software concepts, , debug information, OS concepts, Strong C programming skills, Embedded C, Linux shell scripting, XML (Markup language), RTOS concepts with experience on working with Multicore/Multi-Threading using Vx Works, Device drivers, Processors and their architecture (ARM, PowerPC etc.).
• Expertise with Software Configuration Management and Change Control Process (DOORS, JAMA, SVN, JIRA, GIT, Confluence etc.).
• Experience in using embedded development tools, debuggers, JTAG, Lauterbach, and Analyzers.
• Knowledge on Python, Shell scripting, Batch files is an added advantage
• Good to have exposure to ARINC 653, ARINC 665, AFDX software specification.
• Working knowledge on Agile methodology
• Proficiency in Quality audits process.
• Much Desirable to have Avionics Domain Process, DO Guidelines, Coding standards.
