Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Select products, negotiate terms with vendors, and oversee the full procurement cycle from purchase order creation to delivery.
- Prepare RFPs, bid packages, and support negotiation strategies to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Maintain and update vendor master data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance and support contract compliance reviews.
- May authorize purchase orders and approve payments to ensure smooth procurement operations.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock adjustments to maintain optimal availability.
- Analyze inventory data and prepare recommendations on stock levels, rebalancing, and supplier returns.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards on inventory performance and key metrics for management review.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and implement new procedures or technologies.
Operational Leadership
- Directly supervise the development of procurement processes, standards, and operational plans aligned with Procurement strategy.
- Set daily operational objectives and ensure team adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Resolve receiving discrepancies, delivery issues, and invoicing problems.
- Prepare responses to customer or internal stakeholder inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement and inventory management experience, ideally within an Aerospace MRO environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with reporting dashboards is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and embrace LEAN methodologies.
- Experience with SAP is a must, with SAP HANA is a strong plus.
