Overview:
In this role, the Associate Engineer will actively participate in design, development, improvement and/or sustenance of Aircraft Safety Systems (Evacuation and/or Oxygen Systems) and its components. Provides onsite technical support to operations in Bengaluru. Collaborates with Engineering and Operations cross functional teams in India, USA and Germany.

Primary Responsibilities:
if !support Lists· endifParticipate in Engineering Change Management Process – Teamcenter / SAP.
if !support Lists· endifInvestigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements, regulatory requirements, and cost.
if !support Lists· endifAbility to read, understand and create technical drawings, sketches.
if !support Lists· endifCreate 2D pattern drawing by extracting surface data from 3D models.
if !support Lists· endifWorking knowledge on CAD application – CREO 2.0 or above
if !support Lists· endifProficiency in CAD software (2D) – AutoCAD, Keycreator and other CAD (3D) – Catia, Unigraphics is desired.
if !support Lists· endifShould have knowledge in GD&T (ASME 14.5).
if !support Lists· endifWork experience on PLM tool – Teamcenter, SAP
if !support Lists· endifProficiency in Microsoft office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
if !support Lists· endifTeam player with good interpersonal skills to work with cross functional team from Engineering, Operations and US & Germany customers.
if !support Lists· endifAttention to details to ensure high quality work for customers.
if !support Lists· endifProvide onsite technical support to Evacuation Systems Operations in Bengaluru (Site1 – Whitefield and Site4 – Aerospace SEZ).
if !support Lists· endifExperience on CI – Lean and/or 6 sigma / Root Cause Analysis
if !support Lists· endifCommunicates with business units in USA and Germany (effective written and verbal communication is required for the purpose of achieving successful job performance)
Basic Qualifications:
if !support Lists· endif1 to 2 years of Industry experience in Engineering Change Management, Sustenance Engineering, Redesign, CAD Activities and Manufacturing process.
if !support Lists· endifBachelor's / master’s degree in mechanical engineering / mechanical design
Preferred Qualifications:
if !support Lists· endifExperience in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Process
if !support Lists· endifMinimum 1 years’ experience in CAD application – Creo 2.0 or above
if !support Lists· endifKnowledge of machine design, materials and manufacturing processes
if !support Lists· endifSound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience in manufacturing problem solving.
