At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for global customers. To support our existing business and enable future growth we are offering a 12-month Industrial Placement opportunity to join a team dedicated to Engineering. The role will be based on site at Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.
What you will do:
Supported by our experienced team you will:

Working with other teams and functions to support production lines to deliver product
-
Support problem solving activities
-
Implementing change notifications into production
-
Ensure the accuracy of Manufacturing Bills of Materials.

Improve where appropriate shop floor processes and control systems to optimize material flow.
-
Identify the need for appropriate assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures etc. to enhance productivity.
-
To assist in the introduction of lean manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Other duties as required to support business needs.

Understanding of how a fast-paced and complex manufacturing line works

Influence of engineering on an operations facility

Understanding of the aerospace industry and impact of product and aviation requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
This Industrial Placement opportunity is suited to you if you are passionate about a career in Engineering. We will delight in training and supporting you during your placement which means you need to be a willing learner and committed to achieving both business and personal results whilst working as part of a team.
Essential Criteria:
In addition to the above you should be studying towards a degree or integrated master's in an Engineering discipline and be available to complete a 12-month placement commencing in June/July 2026.
You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD systems, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have experience working within a team environment. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
Desirable Criteria:

Understanding of implementing the principles of lean manufacturing.

Substantial relevant engineering experience gained in a manufacturing environment
