Right now, we are seeking a driven and energised Senior Project Manager -Contractor Standing Capability Manager - EATS.
Raytheon Australia works closely with the Australian Defence Force as its trusted capability partner to deliver some of the most complex and ground-breaking engineering and technology projects in the country. Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking bright and energised Project Manager to join our inspired team.
The Electronic Attack Air Combat Training Support (EATS) Program is located at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley QLD and delivers critical support to the RAAF F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler capability. Specifically, the EATS program provides contracted support to the Commonwealth for No 82 Wing training, based around the suite of tactical flight simulators and other virtual training systems.
The Role
The EATS Contractor Standing Capability Manager is responsible for the efficient execution of training activities to ensure that No 82 Wing can meet its capability requirements, within a flexible and transparent resource management framework.
The EATS Contractor Standing Capability Manager acts as a key interface to the Commonwealth and Subcontractors for aircrew training delivery related issues. The role also manages the Performance Measurement Framework (Key Performance Indicators and System Health metrics).
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish and implement plans, strategies and milestones for the program, and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules
- Assess, identify, and manage program risk and opportunity in line with the company’s policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and regulations
- Identify, facilitate, and support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives throughout the program’s lifecycle
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, suppliers, and contractors
- Identify and pursue opportunities to provide additional services and support to the customers and other emerging businesses to support the company's growth goals
- Provide supervision, coaching and development recommendations to team members and ensure that they have the required capability and capacity for assigned tasks
- Manage team performance to achieve business goals and objectives through use of the performance and development cycle
- Work in close collaboration with other team leads, senior managers, and discipline/functional leads regarding overall resource availability and competency to deliver outcomes most effectively and efficiently
- Lead, motivate and develop the program team to deliver the contracted project outcomes and beyond by keeping up to date with emerging processes and practices relevant to services/programs/products delivered
- Act in accordance with the company expectations relating to professional workplace behaviour, maintaining confidentiality and health and safety
- The role may require interstate and international travel
- Flexibility in hours may be required on an ad hoc basis
- Other duties as deemed relevant to program and operational requirements and within the technical competency of the position
Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Requires a University Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Logistics, Business Management or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated understanding of RAAF training requirements, especially with regard to Air Combat aircrew capabilities.

Experience in the establishment and management of integrated schedules, resource management and budgets, Key Performance Indicators, strategic planning and ability to identify conflicts and priorities.

Demonstrated stakeholder management of experienced aircrew training professionals with excellent relationship management abilities.

Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
