What You Will Do
- Research operating environments and functionality of components, interactions with mating parts and other design factors.
- Collaborate with other Repair Development Engineer (RDE) in the prototyping of new repairs, Source Demonstration, engage with audits as needed, and develop strategies which will return damaged parts back to service.
- Create technical documents that provide engineering requirements for repairs and provide routine status report to customer and management thru various channels.
- Supports investigations of engine field incidents leading to root cause and corrective actions & support in the develop of serviceable and repairable limits for engine part wear.
- Participates as an active member in cross-discipline integrated product teams to provide design solutions that balance performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
What You Will Learn
- How to design Repair Processes while complying with Regulatory Agency’s requirements.
- How to interpret and use documentation such as part drawings & inspections.
- How to identify part distress and select the appropriate repair method to return part to serviceable condition.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0

Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering executes both military and commercial repair design and repairs substantiations for engines. We create and improve ASE business and repair development tools. We design, develop, and qualify military repair tooling.
This position is classified as hybrid. Please ensure this role type (defined below) is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
