Raytheon is seeking a motivated 1st shift Principal Electrical Engineer to fill key Maintenance, Repair and Engineering support role within the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) Department, located in Andover MA. This position will support production maintenance needs on the Operations floor to ensure proper station uptime.

Candidate must be able to effectively operate in a high tempo operations environment and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing complex activities, often with actions requiring coordination across multiple support areas.

What You Will Do

  • The candidate shall work with minimal supervision while maintaining test platforms on the manufacturing floor.

  • Troubleshoot difficult and often complex test station and fixture failures on RF/Digital test platforms using best practices and procedures.

  • Coach, review and influence lower-level professional peers and technicians regarding troubleshooting best practices and techniques.

  • Interpret schematic drawings in aiding with troubleshoot of test stations and equipment.

  • Design of significant improvements of systems and test equipment to enhance performance of work area and improve production up time.

  • Document failure analysis and resolution steps to maintain troubleshoot guide for future use.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of test equipment design or troubleshoot experience in RF.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong familiarity with electronics across RF, Digital and AC/DC Power platform(s) with strong working knowledge of RF; as well as physical and mechanical aspects of interfacing applications.

  • Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies

  • Able to balance multiple assignments simultaneously

  • Experience with CORE principles, or similar continuous improvement methodologies

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
