Job Description:
We are looking for software engineer for web development to join our team at the Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) in Bengaluru India. The successful candidate will join the EDSI Aftermarket engineering organization’s team responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing software applications which includes the automation of both technical and business processes that will enable Pratt & Whitney to continually push the state of the art in engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Learn and understand the needs of the engineering organization and translate those needs into clear software requirements which will drive the design, development, and testing of high-quality software for the engineering organization.

Develop new user-centric pages, components, and apps.
-
Ensure feasibility and excellent user experience.
-
Setup scalable server infrastructure and databases in the cloud environment.
-
Opportunity for full stack development and being involved in all stages of the software development process.

Exhibit the project leadership in terms of milestones, schedules & quality of deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree (with 4+ yr experience) or Advanced degree (with 2+ yr experience) in Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
-
2+ year of experience in ANY of the following: Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, CSS.
-
2+ years of experience in full stack software development.
-
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently.
-
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
-
Strong developer who is comfortable learning new languages, libraries, and frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Strong understanding of server-side languages and frameworks such as Django (Python) / Express.js (Node).
-
Expertise in building user interfaces and experiences with React / Vue.js.
-
Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
-
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
-
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
