Raytheon is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture Department (REPA). You will help us develop the next generation of Early Warning and Missile defense radars.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include working within Linux, Unix and Real Time Operating System developing C/C++ implementation of time critical control functions involved in and direct control of sensor systems. This position will also include working closely with Software Architects and Principal Systems, Hardware, and Software engineers to interpret requirements, correctly implement and test these requirements in software. This position may require local travel to other Raytheon facilities throughout New England and 2nd or 3rd shift work to support hardware testing.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Experience in software development using modern programming languages (e.g., C++, Python)

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge of real-time, embedded systems.
• Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Understanding of networking protocols and data communications.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
