What You Will Do
Collaborate and Communicate:
- Collaborate with & influence the Design and Manufacturing Teams to develop manufacturing solutions that meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing and design teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Provide vendor support for technical, manufacturing and design queries.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Lead new programs/products through the NPI processes, including participating in Design Reviews, Drawing Reviews, DFMA, BOM verification, and Risk and Mitigation management.
- Collaborate with operations to plan and manage the development and implementation of new processes and material flow using lean principles.
Drive Cost and Efficiency:
- Establish recurring and non-recurring costs.
- Identify and manage the implementation of tools and fixtures required for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with operations teams to innovate and enhance assembly and manufacturing processes with moderate supervision.
- Influence and challenge existing manufacturing and business processes to drive improvements.
Ensure Safety and Solve Problems:
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Initiate and lead problem-solving activities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Support Continuous Improvement and Change Management:
- Identify and lead in assessing feasibility and managing changes for both continuous improvements and mandatory requirements.
- Demonstrate the effectiveness of manufacturing process selection in terms of costs, quality, and cycle times under limited supervision.
Support Operations:
- Work with operations to ensure we achieve output and quality targets.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of four years’ relevant engineering experience post-qualification.
- OR: A higher qualification such as HND/HNC in a relevant engineering discipline with at least five years’ relevant engineering experience.
- Proven track record of leading projects or process
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of technologies and tools relevant to manufacturing or assembly processes.
- Problem solving skills – Show the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Demonstrate ability to work autonomously.
- Experience of coaching, providing support and direction to engineers
- Demonstrate ability to foster collaboration, build trust, and influence others within & outside your work area.
Internal Only Criteria

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable professional role

Currently working in an M3 role in Engineering or Quality

OR
-
Hold or working towards a Third Level Education in a relevant engineering or quality discipline
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a P2 role in Engineering or Quality
