We are seeking a driven and energised **Program Manager (GMO)**for our Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program – a key contributor to the Space and Mission Systems (SMS) Product Line.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Program Manager within our Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program. This role is responsible for understanding Defence’s gas capability requirements and developing strategies in consultation with the Defence customer.

You will work closely with Defence stakeholders to identify and seize opportunities, leveraging existing contract relationships to provide value-for-money solutions, and deliver a range of services through project plans. This role also provides direct support to the JGSTE Program Manager and provides a great opportunity to gain direct exposure into managing a program.

Acting as a dual role with primary responsibilities for the GMO you will also be recognised and hold delegations as the Deputy JGSTE Program Manager; we are seeking someone with the capability and drive to grow into the next high-performing JGSTE Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and management of all assigned programs/projects.
  • Liaison with a wide array of stakeholders from ADF to subcontractors.
  • Responsibility and accountability for ensuring that all project goals are achieved, all customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving customer/client satisfaction.
  • Leadership and management of a team within the program.
  • Coordination of project deliverables as per requirements.
  • Satisfaction of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) within the Contract Performance Framework.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the defence environment (highly desirable) - with a minimum of 5 years in Project Management and / or engineering on Defence sustainment support projects.
  • Experience in solution and proposal development, including the financial and commercial aspects of a proposal.
  • Demonstrated skills in financial cost control utilising earned value principles.
  • Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
