Job Description

RTX’s Enterprise Services organization is looking for a France Payroll Manager to consolidate and manage France Payroll operational excellence, drive process quality and efficiencies, and provide oversight for payroll vendor operations. The ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience with France Payroll operations, tax and compliance regulations, and vendor relationship management. These skillsets, along with proven payroll industry experience, leadership, analytical skills, project management, and a strong desire for collaboration to enhance the overall employee experience, is optimal.

This role will support the Enterprise Services Business Solutions team in aligning with the overall company initiatives related to its CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) operating system with primary focus on standardizing operations within our processes, systems and tools to drive process efficiencies, compliance, and quality to improve operating efficiency and reduce costs. The candidate will participate in and help lead a year long project to combine 9 separate entities in France with approximately 3,000 employees into the ADP Global View platform.

Senior Manager, France Payroll Operations

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process management, analysis, and oversight of France Payroll operational areas inclusive of vendor functions

  • Identify and drive process efficiencies, standardizations, and compliance to ensure process quality and excellence through automation and process enhancements.

  • Collaborate with business partners to adhere to and maintain payroll compliance.

  • Collaborate with People Services and other key stakeholders on problem solving, cross functional projects, and key initiatives.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex pay inquiries.

  • Have a key role in a large project team to implement ADP Global View and standardize processes

  • Help build and design a new team of Corporate employees supporting RTX businesses in France

  • Foster an environment for a positive employee experience (e.g. proactive communications, timely and complete inquiry responses).

  • Provide timely and accurate data reporting, as required.

  • Support internal and external audits inclusive of proper documentation, as required.

  • Support execution of long-term business strategy and operational direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong payroll experience

  • Strong working experience with cross team collaboration

  • Strong working experience with vendor process oversight

  • Familiarity with France employment tax regulations

  • Familiarity with corporate benefits and related taxation (e.g. equity, qualified plan)

  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership

  • Ability to handle complex employee payroll inquiries/escalations

  • Strong analytical, organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Knowledge of Excel, Service Now, ADP apps, and other efficiency tools

Experience and Education

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field and 7 years of relevant experience gained in a corporate payroll setting or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ relevant experience. In lieu of education direct applicable relevant experience may be considered
