The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Service team:

Brief Description of Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Construction professional to lead facility construction projects at our airport site and associated offsite projects in Tucson, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction management, particularly in high-profile projects, and will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

What You Will do:

  • Construction Manager for the Tucson airport area site and offsite projects, ensuring effective communication with Engineers, Project Management Teams, EHS, Physical Security, Logistics, and General Contractors on a daily basis.
  • Foster a safe work environment by implementing safety protocols and best practices, focusing on maximizing production and progress while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Assist clients and stakeholders with accurate project scope definitions, Pre-Construction meetings, weekly status reports, and facilitate rapid project completion.
  • Oversee and manage field supervision for various construction programs and projects within Raytheon Missile Systems, particularly during scheduled shutdowns, weekend work, and 2nd shifts.
  • Ability to respond effectively to unforeseen situations in the field with the physical capability to address matters inside trenches, above ceiling grids, and building roof tops alike.
  • Prepare and manage essential project documentation, including transmittal documents, RFIs, contractor badging, hot-work permits, and impairment requests.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation from the design phase through to project closing, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support and promote VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) safety efforts across RMD sites, ensuring adherence to safety practices and regulations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Business, Architecture, or other related field and a Minimum of 5 years of experience or a master’s degree and 3 years’ experience. In lieu of education 9 years of relevant applicable experience may be considered
  • 3 years’ experience managing multiple construction projects successfully under tight deadlines and shutdown conditions.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with and a strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, environmental, and documentation practices.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, CCM, PMP, LEED) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a dynamic environment.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
