What You Will Do:

The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Cell Leader for its 2nd shift operations. This site employs 250+ employees. You will lead a team of 25-30 employees on a growing shift.

You'll be tasked with meeting EHS, customer, quality, delivery, and financial goals within the facility. With guidance, you will set operational directions on case repair completion, training plans, production scheduling, project implementation, continuous improvement, and communication with leadership/direct employees.

This position reports to and collaborates with the site's Operations Manager and will support 2nd shift operations.

Typical working hours are 2: 30PM – 11:30PM, Monday – Friday. Training is available and may be required on our 1st shift for up to 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production control and scheduling, allocating work to employees on the shift

  • Provide strong leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through weekly toolbox meetings, monthly All Hands meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and change

  • Establish work schedules - considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities

  • Work to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals

  • Communicate requirements to peers at supporting processes to ensure smooth process flow

  • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship

  • Ensure world-class safety and quality culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S and Quality requirements promptly

  • Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives - utilize established tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap/rework/repair

  • Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet COPQ requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced degree and 6+ months of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience;OR Associate’s degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience;OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 6+ years of relevant industry experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Degree in STEM field; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering fields preferred.

  • Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.

  • Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.

  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience

  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

  • Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred.

  • Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures

  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools and principles (CORE/ACE, LEAN/Six Sigma, QCPC and RCCA).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and Solumina MES.

  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
