This role implements functional strategy and establishes operational plans within the Fighter and Advanced portfolio value streams. The Value Stream Leader (VSL) is responsibility for leading the Program Management Team (PMT) comprised of cross-functional team members and is accountable for executing commitments to Lockheed Martin, production deliveries of the landing gear products and relevant support activities.
The Value Stream Leader is responsible for establishing continuity and leading through the life cycle tenets of the Collins RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) System and is accountable for full lifecycle of production programs and serves as “business owner” for critical aspects of the overall portfolio. As the lead of the PMT, the VSL is accountable for managing the lifecycle cost, schedule, performance, on-time delivery, quality, customer relationships, and overall customer satisfaction of the landing gear products and services. Serves as the face of the organization and has accountability for the customer satisfaction and financial performance of the program. Looking for a self-starter with attention to detail, strong collaborator with experience working cross functionally with customers with strong program management and talent development skills.
The role is onsite role which will sit at the Haltom City, TX facility.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and grow the customer relationship and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assists in establishing value stream goals and objectives to ensure alignment with the broader Military Landing Gear Business Unit and Landing Systems organizational targets and strategies.
- Lead a subset PMT of the larger Program Portfolio in execution of all functions supporting the value stream projects to meet established targets and metrics.
- Facilitates and drives empowerment amongst the PMT, recognizes achievements, and creates a highly motivated PMT to ensure customer commitments are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for proposals, negotiations and approval of contracts and associated agreements with Lockheed Martin and ensures cost management within the value stream is managed including internal supply sites to ensure P&L targets are met.
- Acts as the organization’s representative to interface with key internal and external stakeholders to present a positive image of the company.
- Supports annual strategic planning efforts for the business.
- Identifies and reacts to problems and supports solutions, such as allocation of resources and operational execution.
- Ensures the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Execution responsibilities include cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, product support, manufacturing, and quality of all assigned product lines.
- Supports the preparation of and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results to Leadership and the Customer.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- A minimum of 2 years of experience capturing and managing commercial or Department of Defense contracts.
- Minimum of 2 years as a program manager or value stream leader with experience in scheduling, risk mitigation and/or financial planning.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in program and/or project management, aftermarket program management and strong understanding of FAR regulations and contracts.
- Experience with the major elements of Business Profit Assurance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at senior levels within the organization.
- Experience with FAR Part 12 sales in the defense market.
- PMP, LSS GB/BB,
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities in a timely and efficient manner that satisfies customer requirements.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
