The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. TEE has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment.
Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) is looking for Senior Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon effector products.
What You Will Do

Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical

Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements

Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
-
Minimum of five (5) years of technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support .

Minimum of three (3) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and/or analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric.
-
Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD & T) analysis .

US Citizen

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
-
Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging.
-
Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM).
-
Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development.
-
Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.).
-
Systems engineering experience.
-
Experience with basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching less experienced professionals, and process execution.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
