Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to support our Power & Controls Operations ECS organization. We’re looking for an experienced professional, like you, to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation assistance is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What You Will Do:
-
Manage medium to large programs, budgets and schedules maintain and present project health
-
Lead electrical components investigations
-
Lead SRI burndown to ensure efficient execution.
-
Coordinate efforts that can include engineering changes to address SRIs.
-
Work closely with a multifunctional team to meet defined requirements, mitigate risks, and ensure milestones are achieved.

Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
-
Experience leading and managing multifunction Engineering projects
-
Experience managing New products Introduction, Sustainment initiatives, engineering changes, and/or obsolescence
-
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering
-
Experience in project engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense.
-
Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, align members with project goals, and drive progress toward milestones.
-
Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through written reports and verbal presentations. Proven ability to convey project status, risks, and solutions to senior leadership and customers.
-
Experience creating clear, concise, and well-structured technical documents, reports, and proposals, including requirements, design details, and testing procedures.
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project), with the ability to create detailed reports, presentations, schedules, and project tracking documents.
-
Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or in a similar role managing project budgets, earned value management (EVM), and reporting financial performance in alignment with program goals.
